ORIGINS
Born in Auckland, New Zealand. Started his career as a presenter on Max TV and a member of the hip-hop group Breaks Co-Op.
LONDON CALLING
Relocated to the UK. Began hosting the Music Response show on XFM and became a key face of MTV News and Gonzo.
THE BBC ERA
Joined BBC Radio 1, redefining evening radio with his high-energy style, 'Hottest Record in the World' feature, and championing artists like Arctic Monkeys and Ed Sheeran.
APPLE MUSIC
Recruited by Apple to lead their new global radio station, Beats 1 (now Apple Music 1). Became the Global Creative Director and host of the flagship daily show.
